Glass slides, MMC wing construction, 1956
Scope and Contents
Photographs of and related to: clinical departments, hospital facilities, individual collections (see Series 10), affiliate institutions, non-clinical departments, institutional nursing schools, hospital staff, and volunteer organizations and services. Sub-series also includes contact sheets for various publications, postcards depicting MGH, MEEI, and MMC, slides, and oversize matted staff portraits. Lantern and glass slides of medical conditions, facilities, and health professionals are housed here as well. The sets of lantern slides depicting medical conditions were originally owned by Isaac M. Webber, MD, MGH surgeon and educator, and used at lecture presentations. They were donated to MMC by Peter Webber, MD.
Note that the phrase “MMC dig” written on photograph versos indicates that the print was digitized by Maine Medical Center (MMC); MHS does not currently have these files.
