Candids
Scope and Contents
Images of people chatting, relaxing, eating, and on walks, often during what appear to be picnics, day trips, and excursions. There is some overlap between these images and Camping, in Box 37/Folder 2 and Box 38/Folder 1. An undated description of the club outings written by Leyland Whipple notes that "the main sport of the day was getting candid shots of members, especially from behind when they were stooping over. They were always good for a barrage of wise cracks when shown at the Club afterwards."
A photograph in Box 42, Folder 1, was scanned and added to the Maine Memory Network. See MMN record no. 155569.
