Medical staff, 1872 - 2015
Scope and Contents
Series documents the medical and health professions staff of Maine General Hospital (MGH), Maine Medical Center (MMC), and, to a lesser extent, affiliate institutions. Included are staff lists, organized by position and department; records of institutional, collegial, and professional committees; published research by various MGH/MMC staff members; and biographical files compiled by MMC archivists. The biographical files are organized by individual as well as record type, and include obituaries, personnel files, articles, and oral histories. Throughout, material includes documents, memos, articles, interviews, minutes, and correspondence. Sub-series 4.1 files are arranged chronologically, while files in Sub-series 4.2 and 4.3 are arranged alphabetically.
Note: Bound volumes are shelved at the end of the collection.
