Scope and Contents
Records related to the management of Maine General Hospital (MGH), Maine Medical Center (MMC), and affiliate institutions, including documentation of hospital leadership, decision-making bodies, institutional policies, plans, reports, surveys, and statistics, as well as financial and facilities records. Series also documents reports and initiatives by the Southern Maine Comprehensive Health Association (SMCHA) in the 1970s, and the establishment of MaineHealth as a management entity for MMC and associated institutions. Material includes correspondence, memos, meeting minutes and agendas, published reports, pamphlets, and architectural drawings. Series files are arranged chronologically.
Note: Bound volumes are shelved at the end of the collection. Flat file material is housed in corresponding drawers as indicated in inventory.
