World War I era prints, ca. 1914-1918
Scope and Contents
These prints arrived with the PCC lantern slide collection, inside a brown envelope labeled "Edinborough, Statford-upon-Avon." The inventory recorded on the inside flaps of the envelope, which is filed at the end of this folder, does not match the prints. The prints show what appear to be WWI soldiers, buildings, and vehicles, amongst other scenes, such as a barber giving a man a shave. One print shows the entrace to Camp de Souge, which was a military base located in Martignas-sur-Jalle, France, northwest of Bordeaux, during WWI.
