Scope and Contents
1937 letter is indicated to be "Letters from Hugh, 1937." Includes a form letter from The Saturday Evening Post. The first two letters, dated Feb. 3, 1938, and Feb. 6, 1938, are from Jeannette to her parents. In the Feb. 3rd letter she states, "Well, here I am in the Big City…" In the Feb. 6th letter she states, "I may remain here permanently." Thereafter most of the letters are to Jeannette from her parents, although there is a letter from Deborah Morton of Westbrook Junior College, dated March 12, 1938.
