This folder contains genealogical information about various branches of the Waite and Huston families. In the case of the Waite family, several documents purport to identify its progenitor as Richard le Wayte, a minstrel watchman, ca. 1066. None of the notes containing genealogical material identify either their author or the source of the information reported. The folder also contains an unsigned essay about “the Huston Place on the Mast Road,” near present day Highland Lake.

The folder contains a bill of sale for hay, farm implements and farm equipment, dated May 24, 1874; an execution [a judicial order to seize property to pay a debt] against Isaac Huston and William Huston, dated October 13, 1830; and an order from the sheriff to seize the schooner Capt. Charles Robbins, dated December 13, 1875. Not all the documents in the folder have been described here.
