Biographical note
John Henry Dooley (1869-1939) was born in Bangor and died in Portland. Throughout his life he held offices in both state and local government. He served as the Treasurer of the Maine Democratic Party and was the Maine Democratic State Chair. He was the US Customs Inspector in Portland from 1933-1939.
