Biographical note

Harry R. Hichborn family of Stockton Springs, Maine.

Harry Revere Hichborn was born in Stockton Springs, Maine, in 1871, to Wilson and Adella Hichborn. He married Alice May Crocker in 1899 and died in Belfast, Maine, in 1842. Harry and Alice had at least two daughters, Mary and Babaline. Harry Hichborn was a farmer and president of the Stockton Springs Trust Company; he was one of the people who got the bank established in town. Hichborn was also a director in the Water Company and, with Herbert Hopkins, an owner of the Stockton Springs Telephone Company. He was appointed postmaster by President McKinley in 1898.
