Scope and Contents

Series consists of the personal papers of Lee Webb, documenting his academic career, involvement in various community and political activist organizations, and professional work and roles. Material consists of papers, drafts, correspondence, memos, and publications. There are four subseries: 1. Education, 2. Community and political organizing, 3. Executive roles, and 4. Maine community and research. Records in this series are arranged chronologically.

Note that many events and organizations represented in this series are described in depth in Webb's publication Where did the 1960s come from?: one American boy's story, 1941-1963 (MSH call no. B W382) and his upcoming publication When the new left was new, 1963-1970.
