Photographs and audiovisual material, 1920 - 2018
Scope and Contents
Series contains photographic prints, negatives, and audiovisual material. Photographs and negatives primarily depict resident outings, activities, and Farm events, mostly from the 1980s-2010s. Subject titles for print and negative groupings were derived from existing information as much as possible, and are as follows: activities (resident outings, work and play on the Farm), events (fundraising events, community gatherings, meetings, holidays and celebrations, graduations), property (general, new construction), residents (group photos, portraits, miscellaneous candids), and staff and volunteers. Series also includes audiovisual material on VHS, audiocassette, digital videocassette, and floppy disk. Digital files originally housed on CD, DVD, and thumb drive have been migrated to MHS servers and are available on request. Material is arranged chronologically.
Note: Opportunity Farm alum David Bates (1984-1989) was the owner of Fotografix Studio, which produced many of the prints in this collection.
