Madigan family bills, ca. 1880-1900

Family of Damariscotta and Newcastle, Me. Members include John, Mathew, and Walter, as well as Samuel Glidden. Note that Captain/Commander John Madigan may be two different people, father and son. There is also John Madigan, son of Mary Anna and James Cottrill Madigan (see Box 45 for relevant material). Material includes family correspondence and documents, financial records, and genealogy and history. Also includes papers of the children of John and Elizabeth Madigan: Catherine Madigan Bennett (1838-1922), Mary Madigan, Edmund Madigan (1835-1904), and Matthew Madigan (1806-1854), who was murdered in 1854 in Callao, Peru (see Box 54 for correspondence regarding his sickness and death, as well as Matthew's correspondence).
