Inquiries and research into the ancestry and lineage of various branches of the Reed, Abbot, Binford, and Hatch families, as well as closely related families such as the Richards, Hams, and Goffs. Material includes family trees, notes, correspondence, and printouts from online resources. Research conducted by multiple family members, including Horace Jose Binford, Marcia Reed Binford, Philmon G. Hatch, and Ann Hatch Watson Raymond.
Record arrangement and original order was preserved whenever possible. Since family relationships overlap, many folders include records related to a variety of families, some of which have their own separate folders. Complete lists of family names are listed in folder notes to aid navigation.
